Rise Désir I – Terre de Feu, is one of the defining works in my Rise collection and a key expression of my exploration of Movement in Stillness. Its sculptural form suggests an upward movement, as if the clay is opening and releasing its energy through the edges while remaining suspended in a single moment.
Handbuilt in Terre de Feu stoneware, the warm earthen body contrasts with the darker brushed edges, emphasizing the rhythm and movement of the form. Every curve, fold, and textured line is shaped by hand, making each angle unique.
Created as a Signature Work, Rise Désir I reflects the sculptural language that defines my practice today - where strength meets softness, movement meets stillness, and clay becomes an emotional gesture frozen in time.
