Wave – Basalte Signature explores the tension between weight and movement. The dark, grounded form unfolds through soft, undulating edges, creating a fluid gesture that contrasts with the density and solidity of the clay.
Layers rise and curve around the central opening, shifting between enclosure and expansion. From different viewpoints, the silhouette changes as the folds overlap and separate, holding the movement in a moment of suspension.
Handbuilt in stoneware, the deep Basalte surface has a tactile matte finish with a strong mineral presence. Light catches the ridges and irregular edges subtly, revealing the depth of the form while reinforcing the contrast between its visual weight and fluid movement.
