Wave Embrace — Terre de Feu, explores the instinctive gesture of protection. Inspired by the embrace of a mother around her children, broad layers of clay curve around smaller inner forms, creating a sense of shelter, closeness and belonging.
Hand-built in Terre de Feu stoneware, the sculpture is defined by sweeping, enveloping forms and softly undulating edges. Dark, hand-worked contours accentuate each layer, contrasting with the warmth of the exposed red clay and emphasizing the movement of one form folding around another.
Part of the Wave collection, Embrace translates the movement of a curling wave into an intimate human gesture — a movement that surrounds, holds and protects.
