Wave Flow I – Ciel de Minuit explores movement as a continuous, fluid gesture. Broad layers curve and flow into one another, creating a rhythm that travels around the form and remains suspended in stillness.
The low, expansive silhouette allows the movement to spread outward, with overlapping folds creating changing depths and contours. From every angle, one curve leads into another, giving the form a sense of uninterrupted motion despite the solidity of the clay.
Handbuilt in stoneware, the surface moves through deep midnight blue and indigo tones with subtle pearlescent and warm highlights. As light travels across the folds, these variations emerge from the darker surface, recalling the shifting reflections of a night sky over water.
