Wave Sable Doré – Signature explores movement through layered forms that unfold around a central opening. Soft, undulating edges rise and overlap, creating a fluid rhythm held in a moment of suspension.
The compact form shifts between openness and enclosure as the curves move in different directions. From each viewpoint, overlapping layers reveal changing depths and contours, giving the sculpture a sense of continuous movement despite its stillness.
Handbuilt in stoneware, the surface combines warm sand, ivory and subtle golden tones that recall mineral landscapes shaped over time. The layered glaze responds to light across the folds, emphasizing their depth and giving the sculpture a quiet luminosity.
